What Are You Grateful For?

Thinking positive comes naturally to some, but for most it's not so easy. To adopt a positive attitude You have to control your thoughts. You have to learn to change the way you think, and you have to be willing to approach life in a different way. The good news is that there are exercises to help develop a positive attitude. Even better news is that saying DAMN, I LOOK GOOD TODAY means you've already made a start!!

So today's exercise is to remember to be grateful. Every morning, as you're getting out of bed, think about what you're grateful for. Say it out loud. Start a gratitude list, write it down. Keep adding to it as new things come to mind.

Here's the start to my Gratitude List.

-I'M THANKFUL FOR MY DAUGHTERS.

-I'M GRATEFUL THAT I HAVE A JOB.
-THANK GOD FOR FRIDAYS BECAUSE I DON'T WORK OUT ON FRIDAYS!!!
-I'M SO GRATEFUL FOR MY DAMN GOOD LOOKING FRIENDS!!!

What you need to do right now is leave a comment with some of the things that you're grateful for. Don't be shy!!

FYI. If you are interested in learning more about positive thinking, I recommend a book called The Secret. Click here to go to The Secret's website.

Hi, Mary Ann! I think so many of us are always on the go in search of our total "perfect world" and we don't realize how truly happy and content we are day to day. I am grateful for the many things that I have like a significant other, a day job, a roof over my head, a dependable car, health, clothes on my back, etc. etc. I am grateful that I have been able to experiment with different things in my life and find out who I am and what makes me tick. For example, I told myself I wanted to be an actor and when I actually spent several months as a movie and TV extra, I discovered it was very, very, very long hours at all hours of the day, filming a scene sometimes over and over and over. I realized what I thought was glamorous was not. Or, I dabbled in voice-overs and it was the same thing. I am grateful for finally finding out 5 years ago that my dream career was with jewelry and to steer my own ship by having my own business as a jewelry designer with my own web site and to be able to do things my way and not have to depend or wait on anyone. This was a huge wake up call and I am so grateful for all the people that have supported and believed in me through sales, networking and friendship. I am grateful to realize that if you want "change", WE...(that means US)...(or YOU) and I have to make the change. If you keep doing the same thing day afer day, nothing will change. In fact, you may eventually lose control of your own life, but if you take small little steps everyday and can envision the "big picture", we can shape our future. So, I am grateful for the motivators out there and inspirational people that tell us we have the POWER!
